In accordance with the 1984 universal human rights declaration, access to education is one of the basic human rights, with article 26 clearly stating that every individual is entitled to the right to access free education at least in basic and foundational stages (U.N 1984).
Despite all these efforts, many Nigerian girl-child still suffer various obstacles to access and attain quality and compulsory education.
